Trish Brown
Head of Property Management
Heading up the WPR Property Management team Trish brings many years of experience to our letting team. Based in our Farnham head office her organised approach to her role provides an exceptionally high level of customer service. She enjoys getting to know her landlords, tenants and their properties to ensure she can meet their needs when issues arise. She has lived locally in Surrey and Hampshire for the majority of her life, apart from a spell of time living in Wiltshire. Returning to her roots in 2001 with her grown-up family, Trish enjoys spending her free time exploring new places in the sun and dog sitting.
Paula Young
Accounts
Paula was born and raised in Hampshire although in search of adventure she lived for a while in the Ionian Island of Greece where she loved both the climate and the landscape. Now back in Surrey she enjoys long walks, socialising with family and friends and a spot of gentle gardening. This is combined with a love of music, festivals, and concerts. As part of the WPR head office accountancy team Paula has an impressive eye for detail and works hard with her colleagues to make sure that our landlord’s receive their rent in a timely and efficient manner.
Melissa Cannons
Property Manager
Melissa lives in Alton with her little girl which is where she was originally from although she moved to Holland for a few years as a baby. She is a big music lover and enjoys going to gigs. She is also a fan of the great outdoors and spending time with her family. When we asked for something quirky about her, we discovered that her favourite animals are cows and lobsters which she fully accepts is a bit weird, but weird in our opinion is good! Her work passion is the property business and to learn all aspects of it. She particular enjoys working in Property Management as she likes to problem solve and so she must be really happy as Property Management always has its fair share of problems to sort out.
Rosie Sutherland
Senior Property Manager
Rosie was born in Portsmouth, grew up in Gosport and now lives happily in Guildford with her husband and their two sons. It must be a noisy household as Rosie plays the piano and sings, her husband plays the drums, and her boys are learning the piano and the guitar. Just imagine being their neighbour! With degrees in English Literature & Language and Counselling & Psychotherapy it’s also a studious household as further demonstrated by Rosie working on her great novel which remains half-finished following the end of lockdown. With her further interest in crochet and knitting Rosie also claims that if you can make it in wool then she will. All this activity begs the question how she has the time to be such a fantastic member of our Property Management team but without doubt she absolutely does. I can only put it down to her amazing organisational skills.
Ian Gough NAEA FNAEA
Branch Manager
Ian has been an estate agent for over 30 years working on the Surrey, West Sussex and Hampshire borders. Married to Juliet they have lived in the centre of Haslemere since 2003 and in the area all their lives. Sanity is maintained, following the rigors of estate agency by walking their three spaniels, Jess, Beetle and Hattie at Swan Barn or on Black Down in Haslemere. What time remains is spent enjoying the arts with regular visits to the theatre, live music events, museums and art exhibitions. This is a complimented by eating out in the numerous pubs in the surrounding area and the occasional round of golf. Ian supports Spurs and Bath rugby club.
Matthew Taylor MNAEA
Assistant Branch Manager
Matt has had a somewhat varied career path, starting out as a (not entirely successful) musician, before moving into construction and subsequently working on stables and smallholdings as a groundskeeper. He now enjoys selling houses rather than looking after them. Being a pivotal part of our Haslemere sales team, he’s kept pretty busy but when time allows, he’s a keen swimmer and runner. He also enjoys kayaking and taking bracing walks in the Surrey Hills with his partner Cat and their whippet Melvin.
Jack Marvin
Lettings Manager
Jack has spent much of his working career within the property industry, in both Lettings and Sales around the Surrey and Hampshire area. Driven by offering his clients the best possible experience, his goal is to offer a truly tailor-made service so that his clients can go about their day to day life’s knowing that their most valuable asset is being well looked after. In addition to his role here Jack also claims to be quite the gym fanatic within his spare time, although nobody is yet to see any evidence of this!
Cherie Harding
Sales Negotiator
Cherie has lived in Fernhurst for many years and absolutely loves living in the countryside with its opportunities for walking her Tibetan Terrier called Pandora. (Pandy for short). Highly active she is keen on interior design and DIY and has spent the last 5 years renovating her home. Cherie works Monday to Friday as a credit controller for a Gaming company but with her love of all things property related we at WPR are lucky enough to have her at weekend as a sales assistant. Holding down two jobs doesn’t leave much time for other pursuits but when possible keep fit and boot camp are priorities as is socialising with family and friends.
Melvin Taylor
Office Whippet
Melvin is a valued member of the Haslemere team, his easy-going nature putting clients at ease immediately upon introduction. Born in the Surrey hills Melvin did not have the easiest start, being hit by a car, and left as a puppy. Since then, however he has lead a fulfilling life and career working on a small holding and has since semi-retired into working one or two days a week in the office at WPR. His hobbies include running and kayaking with his adoptive family.
