Warren Powell-Richards (WPR), the five-branch Surrey and Hampshire estate agency, has enticed two longstanding members of Stirling Ackroyd, the London and South East estate agent, following the appointment of business development aces Marco Olival and Rhys King.
Olival, former Head of Department for Sales and Lettings at Stirling Ackroyd, has worked in estate agency for 18 years with prominent brands including Foxtons and the Leaders Romans Group. He joins WPR as Director of Business Development, where he is responsible for building the new business team.
King, who has spent the last eight years at Stirling Ackroyd in various roles including Head of Sales at the central office, in addition to working alongside Olival, joins as Business Development Manager. He will continue supporting Olival as he seeks to increase invitations to valuations across WPR’s five branches in Alton, Farnham, Godalming, Grayshott and Haslemere.
On joining the Surrey and Hampshire estate agent, Marco comments: “It’s an exciting time to be joining WPR, particularly now that it’s under new ownership. Rhys and I have a wealth of experience in building new business structures from the ground up, so we’re looking forward to creating new opportunities, improving customer support and boosting engagement.”
Rhys, an ex-semi-professional footballer for Metropolitan Police FC, adds: “I’ve worked with Marco for many years and we both have a similar outlook when it comes to building estate agency brands, establishing processes and finding new opportunities. Whilst it’s great to continue working together I’m also ready for a new challenge, so I’m looking forward to supporting WPR as it enters a new chapter.”
Sebastien Lewis, Managing Director of WPR, concludes: “Building the business and the brand is the priority now that we’ve successfully transitioned to a new management structure. We have an ambitious 12-month growth plan in place and Marco and Rhys play a significant role in that. I’m excited about what lies ahead, ready to take a more strategic approach to generating instructions and genuinely delighted to welcome Marco and Rhys to the team.”
Founded in 2008 in Alton, WPR has quickly grown into a five-branch network of estate agents. Lewis purchased the business from former owner Tim Buxton in 2024.
